Remembrance Concert: on Saturday 12 November at 7.30pm we will be singing in All Saints’ Church, Steep. This will be the first concert under the baton of our new Music Director, Michael Servant. Music will include Bob Chilcott’s Requiem and the first ever performance of Song of Solomon, a new work by Chichester-based composer Laura Murray. Tickets are £10 and available from One Tree Books, Petersfield.

The choir will also be singing at the Christmas event at Gilbert White’s museum in Selborne on Saturday 3 December and the Carol Service in Privett on Saturday 17 December. The first concert in 2017 will be Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man on Saturday 25th March in the church of St Peter and St Paul, West Wittering.

For the first time Froxfield Choir is joining forces with The Petersfield Choir for our annual summer concert at Holy Trinity, Privett on Saturday 11 June 2016, at 7.30pm. The programme includes Monteverdi’s Beatus vir and Buxtehude’s Magnificat which, along with Purcell’s Hail Bright Cecilia and Bach’s Komm Jesu, Komm, will be sung by both choirs. Each choir will also perform one work alone, Froxfield singing Rachmaninov’s sublime Bogoroditsye Dyevo (Ave Maria) and Petersfield Britten’s Hymn to St Cecilia. It promises to be a magical concert, perfect for a summer evening. As always, there will be a bar outside the church both before the concert and during the interval. Tickets will be available from One Tree Books in Petersfield and on the door. This year we are supporting Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices for children and young adults
