Ahoy! Saturday 15th October 2022

Fresh from our hugely successful sell-out concert to celebrate our 50th anniversary year, we are now on our annual summer break but already looking forward to more dates in the diary for the autumn. We will be performing Alexander L’Estrange’s Ahoy! Sing for the Mary Rose – a sequence of choral arrangements of songs and sea shanties from the time of King Henry VIII. First performed in 2013 and commissioned by the Portsmouth Festivities and the Mary Rose Trust, this exuberant piece will appeal to young and old alike and we will be joined by local school choirs in St. Peter’s High Cross. To round off our year of celebration we will be singing choral evensong on Chichester Cathedral on Saturday 26th November, more details to follow nearer the time.
