Froxfield Choir was in fine voice for our Remembrance Concert in All Saints’ Church, Steep. We were joined by two impressive young soloists, tenor Robert Lewis and soprano Holly Brown, both studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The wind trio, Tea for Three, treated us to animated performances of works by Holst, Arnold and Beethoven. The first half of the concert concluded with the première of Chichester composer Laura Murray’s Song of Solomon, which delighted both the audience and composer (who joined us in the choir), and set the tone for a moving performance of Bob Chilcott’s Requiem after the interval. Thank you to all those who came along. We hope to see as many of you as possible for Christmas Carols at Gilbert White’s museum in Selborne, on Saturday 3 Dec at 12.45pm.
